Trip Preparation
Fitness
Being fit is a key factor for maximizing your powder skiing vacation. We recommend that you have good cardiovascular fitness in order to enjoy the demands of playing in our snow. A comprehensive exercise program and active lifestyle prior to your arrival will optimize your experience with us. If you are not sure whether your ski legs are in shape, we advise a few warm-up days at Revelstoke Mountain Resort, where there is more than enough vertical to get you ready. Revelstoke Mountain Resort also offers Cat/Heli Prep courses with professional ski/snowboard instructors throughout the season, ideal for first time heli skiers.
Stretch Class
Each morning our instructors lead guests through a complete stretch routine to ensure everyone is ready for the slopes. Stretch class begins first thing in the morning at the Hillcrest Hotel and all of our guests are welcome to join in.
Ability Level
If you ski or board in control on most difficult resort runs, in all conditions, you should be able to heli ski or board comfortably. Your guide will choose the runs suitable to your ability and is always available for tips on enhancing your techniques. We recommend you try our specially-selected line of powder rental skis and boards which are best suited for our conditions and your ability.
