Sales Manager

Job Summary

Under the direction of the STHS General Manager, the incumbent for this position will take a leadership role for sales at Selkirk Tangiers Heli Skiing. Of highest priority is developing a strategic sales program related to product development, pricing, and reporting.

Assisted by the General Manager, the Sales Manager will develop sales strategies, research ways to penetrate new markets, plan and develop new products, develop competitive pricing models, and provide detailed reports to measure performance and guide business decisions. This includes the development and maintenance of systems to process all heli ski package sales, provide content and direction to the marketing team, assist in planning marketing initiatives, and facilitate media relations.

 

Summary of Essential Job Functions

Sales Functions
  • To develop, initiate, and drive sales at all levels within the organization.
  • Work with the STHS team on product development, pricing strategies, strategic planning, and communication.
  • Utilize data and sales forecasting tools to create strategies to optimize business capacity, as well as prepare and implement training for internal and external sales channels.
  • Analyze sales statistics to determine the performance of the product mix and the sales team.
  • Create, maintain, and send out weekly sales reports for key performance indicators on heli ski package sales.
  • Mine the STHS database and utilize sales tools (log books, agent invoices, RTP, Inntopia CDW, etc.) for ongoing data analysis and optimization.
  • Assist the Reservations Manager with high-profile or unique requests, training on the booking process, and the creation of sales incentive programs for agents.
  • Manage relations with wholesale partners in terms of contracting, sales training, coordinating FAM visits, etc.
  • Manage group sales inquiries and bookings in coordination with the sales team from Revelstoke Mountain Resort and The Sutton Place Hotel.
  • Manage relationships with our Pinnacle properties and assist with higher-level planning for product development and an enhanced guest experience.
Marketing Functions
  • Supply updated content to the Marketing team for a variety of marketing initiatives.
  • Update social media outlets on a regular basis.
  • Setup, organize and attend client sales events and consumer trade shows.
  • Assist with tracking and planning for the company’s Powder Performer & client recognition programs.
  • Organize and develop collateral requests for photos, websites, videos, shot lists, etc.
  • Work with sales and operations teams to coordinate and implement media events, film shoots, etc.
  • Manage the STHS photography program.
General Functions
  • In conjunction with upper management and Marketing, prepare and distribute internal and external communication on behalf of STHS.
  • Coordinate with other STHS departments as well as the RMR Director of Marketing to source out and build multi-faceted brand partnerships that benefit STHS/RMR.

Minimum Requirements

  • Three to five years of sales experience and at least a year of experience as a Manager.
  • Require a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communication, business administration, or a related field.
  • Mature, enthusiastic, guest-focused, sales-oriented individual with excellent written & verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with heli ski reservations required.
  • Extensive knowledge of Point-of-Sale systems, Microsoft Office, and Windows-based applications, with a strong emphasis on Excel. CRM experience is also considered an asset.
  • Self-motivated with creative and innovative ideas.

  • Works well within a team environment.

  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency is essential.

Cash Office / Administration Assistant

Job Summary

Reporting to the Office Manager for Selkirk Tangiers Heli Skiing, the primary responsibilities for this position are to assist with accounting and administrative tasks. RTP auditing of posting transactions, reconciling & clearing accounts, as well as preparing financial reports on a regular basis.

 

Summary of Essential Job Functions

General Accounting
  • Assist with GL reconciliations.
  • Process weekly AP for submission.
  • Assist with month-end reports.
  • Audit AR to ensure accuracy and are kept up to date.
  • Audit cash outs.
  • Bank deposits & coin orders.
  • Tracking and Petty cash reconciliation.
Payroll & HR Functions
  • Assist with onboarding documentation.
  • Review entry of timecards bimonthly.
  • Filing and document entry into Ceridian Dayforce.
  • Ensure Manager approval is complete for employee entries prior to payroll.

Requirements & Abilities

  • Completion of post-secondary courses in accounting leading towards a certificate in accounting, or an appropriate equivalent of education, experience, and training.
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping and general office procedures.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Superior computer skills required.
  • Quick Books experience is an asset.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with RTP.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy when entering and prepared documents.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and to work autonomously and as part of as a team.
  • High level of accuracy and analytical skills with attention to detail required.
  • Excellent communications skills, both written & oral.
