Last week’s storm absolutely covered Revelstoke in snow, and this week looks like it’s bringing even more. December and January are our favourite months for tree skiing, and these recent storms have created the perfect conditions. There’s something truly special about floating on fresh powder in an old growth forest.

   Revelstoke’s December and January snowfall is unmatched, with regular, heavy powder dumps stacking up to create a deep base. This guarantees soft, fluffy snow for fresh tracks every day in our tenure. You’ll have untouched powder waiting for you run after run—who doesn’t dream about that?
2. Powder Preservation
   The trees are nature’s own powder preservers! With natural shelter from both wind and sunlight, the forest creates a microclimate that helps keep snow dry, light and fluffy. Tree skiing means that powder can be preserved for longer than in the alpine, ensuring nice soft snow!
3. Visibility and Protection
   We all love a good storm day, but they can also result in low visibility. The trees offer protection from wind and fog, breaking up whiteout conditions and guiding your way through the terrain. Plus, there’s something about floating through the forest while fresh snow falls around you that’s just so special.
4. Terrain Variety
   By mid-winter, the snowpack is deep enough to safely cover any natural hazards. This unlocks some of the best terrain in Revelstoke’s old growth forests, letting you explore and experience prime powder in the trees.

   We take tree skiing to the next level with our dedicated glading program. Each summer, we head into our tenure to meticulously clear and shape tree runs, creating glades that balance thrilling terrain with smooth, flowing lines.
